Welcome to Whaler Bay Cottage, located on idyllic Galiano, the jewel of the Gulf Islands. This charming, cozy cottage, located across from Whaler's Bay, is your ideal retreat to comfort and tranquility. Built in 1991, it features lots of large windows for bright, natural light. Your accommodation includes an open plan loft with queen bed with skylights overhead to watch the stars at night.

Downstairs has a bunk bed in a portion of the reclaimed porch, featuring wide planked wood floors and large windows. There is a four piece bathroom and washer dryer for your convenience. Further amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, dining area/living room with wood burning stove, TV/DVD and stereo. There's a spacious enclosed rear garden patio, complete with patio furniture and BBQ on which to enjoy a summer meal and the surrounding woodlands. Sit, relax and let your pace slow to island time! Situated on 1.75 acres, the property slopes with a flat area around the house, nestled among the lush coastal forest and surrounding Crown Land. The property includes a great lawn for badminton or croquet, a garden with fruit trees and a tree house with play equipment for the kids. There are walking trails leading to the local market or up to Bluff Park which offers some fantastic views. There is easy access across the road to the bay where you’ll find a dock for kayaks, small boats, or oceanfront reflection. Larger boats can tie up at the public dock across Whaler Bay.

The Wheatley’s is conveniently located close to the Sturdies Bay ferry dock, shops, beaches and markets. Rent a kayak and paddle the bay to nearby Gossip Island, or cycle or drive the island to discover one of Galiano’s numerous artist studios or beaches. The island also has a Spa for those needing further pampering or stop for a drink at a nearby restaurant or the local pub.
