Bring your camera and binoculars -- in their season, whales are a common sight, whether from the deck or from one of the beaches fronting Swanson Channel. Chances of a closer look are exceptionally good around sunset from the breakwater at Thieves Bay, a short walk from the cottage. Seals and sea otter will keep you entertained, too. Watch for them cruising the waters and in large groups on small, rocky islets. Keep an eye out for eagles and the host of other sea and land birds that call these islands home.

Inside, the cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, and study area with a desk. Enjoy the woodstove in the living room, TV (with cable), DVD/CD stereo system and radio. The large bedroom has a queen-sized bed (with new mattress), high quality double sofa-bed in the living room, and the bathroom has a bathtub, shower, new fluffy towels, hair dryer, and soaps.
