Moongate Cottage

Moongate Cottage is one of two charming cottages located on the Moongate Property. "Muna" Cottage is occupied by your hosts, John and Candace Davidson, their dog Harley Davidson and cat Cydnee Davidson.

Centrally located, it's just 5 minutes from the Vesuvius/Crofton ferry, Vesuvius Village Market (health convenience) and a lovely restaurant. Just 5 minutes in the other direction is the golf course and 5 minutes further is the bustling town of Ganges where you will find many amenities.

This very private, tastefully decorated 800 square foot cottage is perched on a gentle south-facing slope with glimpses of ocean, views of Maple Mountain on Vancouver Island and also Mount Erskine on Salt Spring Island. Towering Douglas fir and Arbutus trees encircle a lush garden where the cultured and wild cohabit beautifully. A graceful sweep of wide stone steps lead down to a woodland walkway which winds throughout the garden and will take you to the gazebo where 4 can dine.

The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed and ample closet space. Sliding French doors open from the bedroom and the living room to the decks which wrap around the house. Here you will find plenty of seating, dining and lounging furniture as well as a 3-4 person hot tub. The well-appointed kitchen features granite counter tops, custom fir cabinetry and a full sized oven with convection.

Beautiful Duck Creek Park is accessible by a trail head located just 2 driveways down from Moongate.
